The Fallout from the Mosab Yousef Crisis

You may have heard, or perhaps not since it was widely under-reported, that the US government was trying to deport Mosab Yousef, saying that he presented a terrorist threat. I have to admit that I do not know this person, but the coverage of the story made me think something was up. The more I looked into it, the more I discovered that it seemed like everyone agreed that he had saved many lives by acting as a spy against Hamas (when his father was a founder of the group).

Nudge Until They Stop Complaining

Glenn Beck and others have been warning for a while about the Obama's administration's desire to shut down free speech, and repeatedly we see signs of these predictions coming true. Of course, free speech is not something that Americans will easily give up; but this has not stopped repeated attempts by this administration.

It is concerning that the there has been yet another accident at the oil spill site, but what is more concerning is the cavalier attitude that our government officials have towards this accident.

"I think the fact that we've had two bumps that have had consequences associated with them in the 60-plus days we've been doing the response, it's a pretty good record," Allen said.

A Step Beyond Hypocrisy

It would have been hypocritical of the Obama Administration to attack then BP CEO Tony Hayward for taking time off to relax while Obama relaxed (e.g., at baseball games and concerts.) But alas, there was no record of Mr. Hayward taking such time off. So the White House had to wait until this week to attack Mr. Hayward for his outing on his yacht while Mr. Obama took time off to play golf.

Finally, the MSM is starting to raise questions about the total mishandling of this disaster. Of course, after 24 hours the MSM was laying everything directly at the feet of Bush and saying that he hated black people within 72 hours. In the case of Obama we are now at Day 59; and the MSM is finally asking "Who's in charge?" and complaining about all of the government agencies with only allusions to the fact that ultimately Obama should be in charge.

Inviting an Attack

Today, we find two articles that are concerning by themselves, but when put next to one another and other events, one can only assume that the federal government is inviting our enemies to attack us. The first article points out that the federal government has alerted local Texas law enforcement that they should "be on the lookout for a suspected member of the Somalia-based Al Shabaab terrorist group who might be attempting to travel to the U.S. through Mexico."
